From Excel sheet to HR system

It all started when Pål Kristian Eggen of 4human contacted Kirsti Finsal of Kynningsrud and told her about a system that could follow up sick leave digitally online. Kirsti was used to working in a simple database and excel sheets. This working methodology was inefficient and not very user-friendly.

Kynningsrud implemented 4human's absence follow-up in 2015. Today, Kynningsrud has expanded the system to include performance appraisals, personnel follow-up and competence, in addition to sickness absence follow-up.

Helge Tangen and Kirsti Finsal used to work in the same position, but in recent times the position has been split in two. Kirsti is now HSE manager and Helge now works as HR manager at Nordic Crane Kynningsrud.

"It's not easy to get all the managers who work with many other systems, different backgrounds and work experience to familiarize themselves with management and HR tasks in addition to their daily tasks," says Helge. He adds that "4human acts as an aid to all managers, through templates for appraisals and follow-up plans.

"4human assists all managers by providing templates for performance reviews and follow-up plans."

Kynningsrud currently uses the absence module actively in relation to NAV and he says that the follow-up plan and electronic submissions to NAV work very well. It increases efficiency and simplifies the work of the company's managers. Kynningsrud also uses the competence module extensively to ensure that certificates and courses do not expire.

When you have many managers in many departments, you need a system that is simple and effective. That's what you get with 4human, with follow-up and performance reviews."

4human is getting under the skin of the many managers at Kynningsrud and the system ensures higher efficiency and a better overview for the individual managers. Helge also says that it is easy to find documentation and personal data in the system.

Employee portal and performance reviews

In the long term, Helge wants to use the employee portal and employee interviews for the entire company, to increase efficiency and profit through simplified work tasks. 

Helge praises 4human's support department, he has been in contact with, among others, Milica at 4human and he is full of praise for the support 4human offers. Technical support works very well, he says. He adds - "I've sent in a few cases recently and have received quick responses.

"Technical support works really well, I've submitted some cases recently and have gotten quick responses."

He also likes to be sent user guides that he can use to solve the issue himself without being burdened by hourly work.

Further collaboration

Nordic Crane Kynningsrud and 4human have worked well together since the start-up and implementation in 2015. It's been four years since this fruitful collaboration came to life and it will take new steps in the years to come, with new functionality to solve the many challenges that may arise.
