Product News: June 2026 Updates in 4human HRM
New in Competence: Choose notification time per competence
The competency framework is used differently in different industries – and some competencies are simply new. Certifications, courses and approvals can have an expiration date, and timing is everything. In 4human HRM For example, competency types can be configured with an expiration date, and the solution supports notifications in advance of expired competency.
Previously, you could choose whether or not you wanted a notification – with a default notification of 90 days before expiration. For some competencies, 90 days is too little to plan for renewal. For others, it is unnecessarily early.
Therefore, as a manager or support staff, you can choose the notification time per competency.
You decide how many days before expiration you should be notified - so you have proper control and better flow in follow-up.
What does this mean to you?
For you as an HR manager or support staff (HR/HSE/KS), you can receive a grouped weekly notification of expiring competencies, including:
- Better planning: Allow plenty of time where renewal requires courses, bookings or documentation.
- Less noise: Avoid premature alerts on competencies that can be updated quickly.
- Lower risk: Reduce the chance of critical expertise running out without anyone taking action.
- More precise follow-up: Customize notifications by type of expertise, not “one size fits all”.
(PS This is especially suitable for competencies with an expiration date – such as certifications and courses – since these can be set up as separate competency types.)
How notifications are delivered
Notifications are handled via Notification Center, which provides notifications to HR, managers and employees on relevant tasks and deadlines. The solution is configurable and can send notifications as an internal message in the HR solution and/or email.
