Webinar: The Equal Pay Directive in practice – now you need to take action
EU countries must implement the Equal Pay Directive by 7 June 2026, but Norway follows its own EEA process – and therefore this deadline does not apply to us. However, new requirements can come quickly once the directive is first incorporated, and many businesses want to be ahead of the curve.
At the same time, Norwegian employers already have clear obligations through the activity and reporting obligation (ARP) in Section 26 of the Equality and Discrimination Act. ARP applies to:
- All public enterprises
- Private businesses with over 50 employees
- Private businesses with 20–50 employees if union representatives require it
The requirements include, among other things:
- Salary survey at least every other year
- Mapping involuntary part-time work
- Public statement
- Systematic work for equality and against discrimination
This has also been highlighted by both the government and professional circles as a key foundation that already lays the foundation for meeting future requirements in the directive.
For HR, this means more structure, clearer reporting and less room for unjustified pay differences. Many people experience uncertainty about what the directive and the laws actually mean – and lack tools that provide good control.
In this webinar we show a simple and practical way to move from scattered payroll data to better overview, compliance and internal communication. You will see how the Pay Transparency module in Sysarb with integration in 4human HRM can support the new work to come.
