Why internal audit?
Internal audits are a requirement both in connection with certification and in the Internal Control Regulations. In addition to internal audits being a requirement, there is also a lot of benefit in conducting regular internal audits.
Internal audits allow you to check whether the management system you have invested in is working as expected. This means checking that employees are actually using the system and have not created their own routines or document templates outside the system.
Typical questions that are also reviewed are:
- Have we identified relevant risks and taken them into account?
- Are the measures in place working?
- Are we recording incidents and leveraging their improvement?
Why a supplier audit?
Audits of critical suppliers are also important for many businesses, especially where suppliers have a significant impact on the quality of their product and service delivery. In order to ensure this quality and at the same time build a good working relationship with suppliers, audits are a good tool and a basis for mutual improvement.
