GAP analysis
What do you get with a GAP analysis?
Is your business about to be ISO certified, or do you want to find out if you are compliant?
A GAP analysis gives your company an overview of the documentation you have against relevant requirements. These may be requirements in ISO standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 or requirements from customers or authorities. This type of review can also be a good way to identify the need for changes to your own management system, draw up an action plan and implement new requirements, so that you are well prepared for auditing and recertification. The GAP analysis is carried out by our quality advisor working with you to go through the documentation and assess at a general level whether it satisfies the relevant requirements. Any deficiencies are documented. After such an analysis, we recommend that the results are presented at a management meeting or similar, to ensure that any need for changes is well supported by management.
Typical questions we ask when working with a GAP analysis:
- Which processes do you have procedures and routines for - and which are missing?
- Do your existing procedures and routines work well enough - and do they meet the requirements?
- How will you prioritize the work that needs to be documented and improved?
