How to work with ISO 31000?
IS0 31000 gives your business a systematic approach to managing risk.
The ISO 3100 standard is a useful tool for working smartly with risk management according to an international standard.
What this standard does is help your business increase the likelihood of achieving your risk objectives - and make it easier to identify opportunities and threats to your business. The standard also provides guidelines for the allocation and use of resources for risk management itself.
Although ISO 31000 has many features in common with management system standards, it is not a standard to which one is certified – such as the quality management standard ISO 9001. It is only a guidance standard.
The standard is a set of guidelines, principles and frameworks for managing risk. These principles are often added as a layer on top of the risk management described in the various management standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or ISO 27001.
