LetSea's journey towards better quality management with TQM

LetSea wanted a system that could not only give them this overview, but also assign an owner to processes and documents, create a visual structure that all employees could relate to, and notify of document revisions and changes.

TQM was seen as the ideal tool because it allowed LetSea to consolidate multiple needs into a single system. This included document management, non-conformance management, risk assessment, form filling, competency management and more. In addition, the ability for these modules to interact was a significant advantage. 

Johnny also shared some insights into the specific modules LetSea has adopted. The document module contributes to efficient document management, the incident module helps to handle deviations and incidents, and the form module is an exciting new addition that they see many opportunities with. The risk module is a challenging part due to the complexity of the aquaculture industry, but LetSea believes they can adapt it to their needs.

Another important decision was to adopt the competence module in the future. This module will help LetSea to monitor and notify when courses and training expire, thereby maintaining high competence among employees.

After almost two years of using TQM , LetSea has seen significant progress. Implementing new systems takes time, but Johnny noted that TQM has made them more professional. Once all the modules are fine-tuned and interact seamlessly, they expect it will make everyday life much easier for everyone in the organization.
